founded by Frederick Thomas in 1992, specializing
in the construction, renovation, and maintenance of government
accommodations.
ThomCo is a full service construction, construction management, and facility management company. We provide our clients with extensive knowledge in managing the various facets of construction and its related industries. Receiving SBA 8A certification in 1995
significantly expanded
ThomCo’s business opportunities,
yet our performance advantage has been maintained through
the effective
leadership, practical experience, and technical expertise
of our management teams. Under

Fred Thomas was born and raised in Chicago. He graduated from High School a year early due to accelerated learning and subsequently attended the University of Illinois, at Champaign-Urbana, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. Upon graduation he attended Officer Training School to become an officer in the United States Air Force from 1985 to 1992 where he obtained the rank of Captain. He was honorably discharged in 1992. Fred continued his education and received his Master’s of Business Management Degree in 1992. Fred Thomas started ThomCo Enterprises Inc. in 1993 which is a multi-million dollar construction firm based in Ft Walton Beach Florida. ThomCo has divisions in Panama City, Tampa, Ft Walton Beach, Florida as well as Georgia and affiliations with firms in New York, Illinois, Alabama, and Texas. Fred Thomas is also the founder of the Yolanda D. Thomas Scholarship Foundation which provides scholarships to local underprivileged students at Okaloosa Walton College.

Over 25 years leadership, management and executive experience. Fifteen years teaching, leading, and facilitating Quality Improvement efforts, as well as planning and implementing major Strategic Planning exercises. Selected three times as a Secretary of the Air Force Unit Quality Award (Baldrige) examiner. Previously certified American Society for Quality Certified Quality Manager. Previously held adjunct management teaching positions with Central Texas and Los Angeles Metropolitan Colleges.

Contract experience includes construction management, design/build, project management, program management, general contracting, and build-operate-transfer. Project experience includes facilities, infrastructure and environmental projects for federal, state, and municipal government agencies, and private sector clients nationwide.
